True Potential
PrettyvacanT Dublin is looking for painters based in Ireland to submit artwork.
PrettyvacanT Dublin in collaboration with Virtual Shopfronts will present an exhibition entitled True Potential.
True Potential is a collection of paintings – scanned, turned into a virtual gallery and wrapped in vinyl around an empty shop front, in a retail centre.
Artists are invited to submit paintings, either new or existing work. True Potential has the space to showcase work from 3 or 4 artists.
For consideration please email 3-5 images to Louise at prettyvacantdublin@gmail.com by 6pm on Friday 27th January 2012 (extended deadline)
Each image must meet the following specifications:
- Files saved as low res jpegs
- Photos to be taken looking straight onto the painting
- Photos to be taken in good, even lighting with no glare or flash
If selected you will then be asked for a hi-res version (10MB approximately) to insert into the blank canvasses of the virtual gallery. We expect the gallery to be in place for 1-2 months.
Set up in 2009 PrettyvacanT Dublin repurposes vacant properties as temporary exhibition spaces for artists. To date we have organised 9 exhibitions across 7 locations, received thousands of visitors and coverage in national press, radio and TV.
